I love small talk, but I worked on this a little bit this week. It was definitely easier to think of ways to hook the deeper questions in conversations with people I already know well and speak to regularly (my brother, another park parent) versus people I am meeting for the first time. Also, I'm usually talking to people in groups--carpooling or sitting around the picnic table at the park--and it feels odd to work toward in depth one on one conversation in those settings.
Well, I have listened now and that was amazing! It seems recently I've had thoughts about my poor conversational skills and this gave me some food for thought and to prepare myself for future conversation opportunities. Thank you!
It should be here: https://catherineprice.substack.com/s/how-to-feel-alive-with-catherine (Let me know if you still can't find it!)
I don't see it, but then again I am driving. I think for so now my wife really wants me to break up with my phone!
Update. Found it in a browser. Cannot for the life of me find it in the Android app.
The "We can do hard things" episodes are on *their* podcast page: https://momastery.com/wcdht-transcripts/
I can't find the podcast now. Where is it??
Downloaded, subscribed, and ready to listen on the way to work soon! Looking forward to it.

I found this podcast so helpful. I am ready to make a hair appointment and try it out as well!
What has always worked for me with strangers and friends is the question “ What’s been keeping you busy lately?” Works every time
I haven't listened yet, but congratulations! But you started off with a really big name, at least to me, so (high) expectations have been set! ;-)

I'm glad to hear that you found it helpful! And uh, I hope I can continue to meet expectations! (Charles was a wonderful guest.)
