Bold words, Catherine! To think that Westerners would distort other genuinely spiritual and whole practices from cultures they merely curate from for profit, intimacy, or therapy though... Unpatriotic heresy. And yet they line up...

I will NEVER do partner yoga. Ugh. I hate any kind of partner workout. Just let me do my thing on my own. LOL

Hilarious! Another one to hate: baby yoga. I remember being in a hip London neighborhood with 30 (!!!) other new moms and their crying babies --and of course mine -- crammed in a room, using the yoga mat at times to change my son's nappy. The instructor said, "now close your eyes and focus on the calmness"....

I thoroughly enjoyed this, and found lots of validation in it! Even Yoga x 1 person (myself) leaves me kind of groaning and whimpering at how inflexible I am! I can't imagine subjecting another person to my Yoga failures, much less the other cringe stuff you mentioned.
