Must watch if you’re a parent/guardian/grandparent/auntie/or teacher. Really, an important watch if you care about children.

I love hearing all of this! But I feel like those of us with teens already: where is our gift guide for kids who are already so inundated with tech? Some of it feels babyish. Especially older teens who (btw) are still children.

How do we have these conversations with high school principals who, quite frankly, feel stuck behind a rock and a hard place with parents who want phone free zones and the very loud parents who want unlimited access to their children. How do we put the toothpaste back in the tube?

This was great, thank you for this interview. Starting the audio book now. I know there may not be hard data around this, but I’m struck by the number of young adults going “no contact” with parents and family and wondering if there is a connection with the amount of time they spent on devices as youth. Those ties that bind, are built on experiences spent together and if they spent their bonding years bonded to their online experiences, maybe it’s truly just no big deal to that cohort to break ties over minor slights, arguments and disagreements. Rather than having practice at repairing and resolving interpersonal issues, they may not miss those weakly bonded relationships and have no motivation to put in the effort.
